tapping the oil pan?
what did everyone use to tap their oil pan?
just curious as to the fastest way to get it done, so i can drive it the same day its a little to cold to be riding the bike around now. |
Re:tapping the oil pan?
i used a drill bit...and a brass fitting i threaded in there
|
Re:tapping the oil pan?
i meant to seal the fitting in there.

Re:tapping the oil pan?
lol...just drill the right size hole and thread it in there (use a little teflon tape if you want i guess)...the fitting is never submersed so it doesnt really need to be sealed like crazy imo

Re:tapping the oil pan?
yeah, that's probly what i'll do, thanks

Re:tapping the oil pan?
a little jb weld never hurt, but i never had a problem with mine without it
|
Re:tapping the oil pan?
drill a hole about the same size as the fitting screw that bitch in there and seal it up with jb weld works perfect and its so easy.

Re:tapping the oil pan?
I used a 1/2 conduit knock out and welded a piece of drain pipe in from the Saab return line I had.

Re:tapping the oil pan?
Drill bit and stealth mode feed/return kit...came with what I needed...I also brazened the fitting with a torch and some silver sodder around the edges...teflon tape was used and the stuff provided from stealth(obviously)
