*SIGH* i just have this feeling its not going to make boost til 8k rpms and i will only have 500 more rpms left to rev....lol...i guess its going to be an experiment and i will have an extra t3 off to the side.

holset hx35 is smaller....this thing here...its a BIG ----------er....from what i heard of now, came off a 5.9 cummins diesel truck....the things are good for well over 600hp applications...hell we have all seen the twin turbo civic whitey built...damn i still wonder what rpm this bitch would spool...guess ill find out the hard way!

the cummins diesel has 3.277 more liters than a 1.8 ls.vtec.

buddy of mine said it would take a 3.0L v6 to bring out the full potential of that turbo. said it would spool on my car but wont reach real boost til 7k rpms with a 10psi wastegate spring. i would have to do external wastegate cause this one never came with one. not bad for free i guess...only if i have a vehicle i know for sure it would spool with would be pimp ----...what about a v6 accord...maybe my mom will let me turbo that thing.lol

the smoke in diesels is much more dense that's why they need bigger turbos otherwise they'll over spin and break a small turbo.

put a soda can next to it so we can get some idea of proportion

 

thats isnt the exact one i have...its just the same type of turbo i have...imagine this...standing 2 pop cans on top of each other...the compressor side would be 1 3/4 of the pop cans in height.
