T3 turine inlet bolt patern
i have never owned a T3 before so i dont knwo if this is normal
my turbine inlet bolt pattern looks like this, with one bolt hole offset
O----------------------O
-------- O-------------O
looking at pics of flanges it looks to be square/rectangle
the turbo came from a dodge shadow, do i need to look for a specific flange or this or is it normal?

Ahh you have the gay chrysler turbo. Well the turbo itself isn't bad but it has an odd shaped turbine inlet flange as opposed to most other T3s which have the regular rectangular flange. I've heard that you can just drill out that flange to fit a reg T3 but I have never done it myself.

Re: T3 turine inlet bolt patern
In theory they should not perform any worst than the regular T3 turbines but man....All Chrysler T3's I have seen were cracked, rusty pieces of ---- and all downpipe and CHRA bolts snapped and I ended up throwing the whole thing in the garbage can. Who has time and drill bits to spare for retapping 9 holes??

Re: T3 turine inlet bolt patern
its not as drastic as the crude pic i made, it would actually be more of making the existing hole bigger rather than drilling a new one
it was actually in really good condition, i took eveything apart no problem. it has a garrett rebuild tag on it but i am going to rebuild it myself.
i def dont want to ditch the turbo because its a little diff
42/48 turbo $60
.60 ar housing and 60 trim wheel $50 (deal still in the works)
re-build kit traded parts

brand new .60/.48 T3 $110
