Hey..i got a T3 with little shaft play. But it doesn't spin too freely and its kind of choppy...

might i need a rebuild?

if so...where can i buy a cheap rebuild kit?...peace!

i had the same problem on my t3 when i had got it and i found that on the exhaust side of the compressor the shaft ring was bent a little and all i did was remove the ring be very careful it will break, and reshape it and clean out the trash from the shaft ring, and shaft, reinstall the inpellar with assembly lube and see if it turns more freely, also buy a rebuild kit from www.turboparts.info.com/ about$41.00 for the kit

 

i can't get the turbo apart...

i already took off the 4 10mm bolts that hold it together...but it won't come apart.
what am i doing wrong? can someone give me some tips..

if you are talking about the 4 bolts holding the exhaust housing to the center cartridge when i took mine off (i think there was 6) anyways i had to beat the damn thing to come loose and slide out be careful though not to break it or damage the wheel

 

Do i have to take off that nut that holds the wheel in to take it apart?...or should it just come apart?
