with a t3 turbo on a b18, is it possible to hit 12's?
 

I have a ls engine in a eg6 with stock internals, i was wondering would i be able to hit mid-high 12's. My setup is a tuned safc, 6 puck exedy clutch. I am guessing my hp to the wheels is 230 right now at 9psi. Is the t3 capable of getting me to the 12 or would i have to upgrade to t3/t4?

with the right housing and the right wheel you could make enough air out of a t3 compressor cover to go 12's. check out www.---------------. see if chris can find you a .60 a/r compressor cover for a t3 and have him shove a s70 wheel in it.

Hell yeah its possible, rpi racing here in florida, ran 12.08 on a stock b16a in a crx, with a fairly small T3, but that was on slicks. But another guy here, same setup, but with a Super 60 T3 on a stock b16a ran 12.7 o some shitty slicks at 10 psi, in a crx though. Man, i keep forgetting that these are in crx's, Oh well, should be close.

At cheap turbo.com it's $275 with free shipping back, but thats just for the re-build. It wil be a bit more adding a larger wheel etc. I'm currently waiting on another company to email me back with a quote on re-building my T3, so when I hear from them, I'll let you know.

I'm running the .60 trim compressor and .48 turbine T3 on my B18b right now at 10-11 psi and I love it. i don't think i'd want it to build boost any sooner or any later. it seems perfect on my engine IMO. But others may disagree. I start spooling about 2800-3000 and have full boot real quick. I have thought of going T3/T4 but on an Ls where your rev limit is at 7000 it's probably not worth the extra $$$.
