i rode in a civ coupe with a b16a turbo lasty night. he was running a t3/t04e 60 trim like me and he didnt hit full spool until 5500 rpms.. very laggy, and on 8 psi he dynoed 220 whp.

i would go with something a buit snaller. possibly a 57 trim.

the t3 60-1 is bigger than the 60 trim and is like the sc61 i had on my gsr. no spool till 5k, so your lookin closer to 6 id say.

if ur lookin to make good power, the 57 trim will get you 400 hp all day, and still spool the best out of all three.

what? my 63 trim spools up way before 5500 rpm's and has hardly any more lag than my .63/.60 t3 on my b16! something with that person's set up is not up to par.....

No no i dont want 500Whp, in engine 500-550hp
so i thing t3/t04E
Compressor Wheel: 57 Trim
Turbine Housing: 0.63 AR

is that Good setup for me? This Turbo can do 1.5 bar(22psi) in 9000 or 9300 Rpm ?
could I have 22 psi from my turbo between 4500-9000 or 4500-9500 ??

Yes the 0.63/0.60 T3/T04E 57 trim is a good choice for your b16a2 itr but not for 550HP. I would rather say 400HP at the very most.

If you have only 8.5:1 CR, you certainly have very weak HP without boost and that's what you got to spool the turbo up. The 0.48 a/r turbine is CERTAINLY a better choice in your case in terms of spool up but it's not good for much more than 250 HP. the 0.63A/R will allow more HP but it is not sufficient for 550 hP either. At 400HP, regardless of the a/r, you have to switch to stage 2 or 3 turbine.

COMPRESSOR wise, the57 trim is good for no more than 400HP with good efficency.
The t04B H trim however, is good 450HP with good efficency. so again, you will max it out at 550HP. SO unless you accept to reduce your power goal, yes, the 60-1 will be a good choice.

So can t3/t04E 57 Trim 0.63/0.60 a.r boosts 25psi 4500-5000rpm to 9000rpm or 9500 rpm ?

Re: t3/t60-1 Or t3/T04E ???

The RPM of your engine has nothing to do with the choice of turbo.
regardless of the RPM of the engine, The flow (HP) produced at that engine RPM is what you have to look at for sizing the turbo.
Same applies for the boost. As long as your power goals are met, Who cares, really, about the boost needed to achieve it?

the 0.63/0.60 t3/t04e 57 trim is good for around 400HP with good efficicency.

If you have at least 150HP before boost, spool up wil be very acceptable (3000 RPM or less)
If you have less than 150HP before boost, it will still work well, over heat less and easier on traction because spool up will be slower (3000 RPM or more). Lots of people can live with that. If it's not your case... you will have to either spend the big bucks on a BB turbo or take a smaller turbine (0.48) which means trading some max HP for your quick spool up.
