T3/t40B- too small?
so i found out the turbo i have is
a t3/t40b not a 0e i knew it was small but didnt know it was a B my turbo seals just craped out, and debating on buying a bigger turbo or rebuild this one Compressor TO4B Compressor Housing H Trim 2.75" Inlet inducer exducer 2.298" 2.750" Turbine 20357-03 .48ar STG3 exducer inducer 2.229" 2.559" my goals is 275whp-300whp i want to know is it too small? how much psi would i need to boost on this turbo to hit my goals? this is a ka24de nissan 240sx motor i orginally wanted to run 10psi to make 275-300whp, but that was with a t40e i also read that it spools fast i want a turbo that will give me average spool and lot of top end:( revlimit is 6800 current H trim t40B http://64.225.76.178/catalog/compmaps/images/Fig8.gif 50trim t40E http://64.225.76.178/catalog/compmaps/images/Fig13.gif i wish i knew how to read it |

Plug in your engine parameters and it will plot a point on a compressor map for you, as well as give you theoretical torque and horsepower outputs. |

That turbo is capable of reaching your HP goal. It's the same turbo I'll be using on my semi-build d16z6 but with the .63 ar instead. With the stage 3 .63 ar turbine it's capable of 400+ HP. I also have a garrett stage three 4 bolt .63 ar housing if you're interest in it. LMK
