you should see full boost by 5k or so, snatch it up man it's super cheap but probably cheap for a reason

Re: t3/t4 t04e 57 trim

i'm running a 57 trim .5ar / .63ar stg 3 T3/T04E on my built Z6 with lowerd comprssion.

Boost is there in full force by 5k and would probably be there sooner if i didnt have some exhaust leaks. that turbo is huge for this motor and works great; 5psi on my motor feels 10x faster than 12psi on my pos old greddy 15g kit......

I cant wait till i fix the leaks and can push 8-10psi; i'm truely scared

haha great im expecting some crazy power in full boost ive only used small turbos so the big kick in the ass should be great haha

Maybe on a Z6 you would be better off with a smaller t3/t04E with a 46 or 50 trim compressor. (They make some with a 0.50 a/r housings)
Turbinewise, IMO, the 0.48 turbine is the best one to choose for a great spoolup on this engine but it will limit you to around 250HP. (I know it's able of 300HP but with poor efficiency and crazy overheating)
If your goals are over 250HP then you have to sacrifice some spool up and get the 0.63 a/r tubine.

how much hp is the t3/to4e 57 trim i have capable of i do plan on block filling and i already have eagle h beam rods but not sure if i will need aftermarket pistons for high boosting how much hp can stock z6 pistons handle if i were to put them back in with the h beams i dont plan on going over 300 hp atleast not anytime soon im thinking around 260 hp as my goal for now

Re: t3/t4 t04e 57 trim

If you're using a too large turbo, it's still gonna work, but with a more gradual spool up. Sometimes, it's a good thing! I helps with traction and overheats less!

The 57 trim will certainly not die on you at high RPM. If you are happy with a 4000 RPM spool up, then you still are a very happy camper! If you want to accelerate the spool up, just be aware that a smaller compressor will allow you to do so without having to compromise on the top end HP.

Re: t3/t4 t04e 57 trim

I have the turbonetics t3/40e on a ZC and I get full boost at 5k and from there on you have to hold on. Last night at 13psi I was spinning my tires in 4th. Third is a joke...no traction. My engine is 8:1 fully built. O0
