Which T3/T4 for built zc?

For those who don't know, I bought Jeff's built zc. I now have money for a turbo burning a hole in my pocket, but I'm not sure which one to get. I am hoping for a 4000 to 4500 rpm spool, but still good top end. Basically something not too laggy for the street, but still capable of decent power. Any advice would be appreciated.

T3/T4 is great for your ZC. Great spool up and great top end power. Or try a 14b turbo.

I plan on a T3/T4, but what I am unsure of is which size would be best for what I want. I've been looking at everything from T3/TO4E 50 trim .48 turbine .50 compressor, to 60 trim .63 turbine .60 compressor. I've heard that the 50 trim may not flow quite as much air as the 54,57 trim etc., but it has a wider efficiency range, and I am worried that the 60 trim with the larger A/R's may be a little too laggy for my tastes. If any of this is wrong, please correct me.

yes that is correct the larger the compressor the more CFM it will flow. But any of those trims will work fine for the ZC.

What some people don't realize is that a Super 60 T3 turbo mates very well to DOHC Hondas. Not laggy, good power, wider efficiancy band = satisfaction.

The bigger TO4E (60AR) compressor housing and (57-60) compressor wheel trims love high boost levels and isn't very efficient until 15 psi and above. Laggy, yes...but hold on to your ass!

A friend of mine went with a turbo setup of T3/T4 54 trim compressor with a stage III turbine wheel and 48 AR exhaust housing and it pulled very well. Now keep in mind this was in a SR20.

Your fully built ZC will like high revs with quick spool up. Try a T3/T4 54 trim compressor with a stage II turbine wheel and a 63 AR exhaust housing. The stage II turbine wheel will give you T28 spool capabilities while still flowing more air because of the T4 compressor side. And the 63AR exhaust housing will let you flow more to make more power on the top end till 8300 rpms. And if you want more power you can get the exhaust wheel clipped which will increase flow, give you a little lag but still around the T28 spool range.

Think about it. Please, anyone...correct me if you beg to differ. 8)

I was looking at the T3/T4's on Cheapturbo.com and they have a similar turbo to the one you mentioned. It's a T3/TO4e 57 trim witha stage III wheel and .60 A/R compressor .63 A/R turbine. Any opinions on how this would work?
