t3 or t3/t04e?
Well, I'm starting to put together a turbo setup. So, I was looking through some classifieds and saw a t3 57trim with 0 miles since rebuild for only $150...so yesturday, i drove to pick it up and bought it...well i posted pics on turbod16.com and some of them think it might be a t3/t04e 57 trim instead of the t3...so i was hoping to figure it out for sure here....here are pics

Re: t3 or t3/t04e?
Definately a fairly big turbonetics turbo, you should sell it to me ASAP!
The only turbonetics turbos I've ever seen for sale for a reasonable amount have the seals blown, infact I've rarely ever seen a used one without the seals blown. |
Re: t3 or t3/t04e?
so is there any definitive way to tell for sure?

you can take off the compressor housing and measure the diameter of the wheel on the small and large size and find out the trim that way |
Re: t3 or t3/t04e?
