would this be a decent choice of a turbo for a stock z6, until i can get a built block? the one i have is a Turbonetics .57/.63, stage 3 wheel.

i figure it would be enough for right now to hit ~200whp on 6-7psi maybe shoot for 8psi depending on the tune...and run it like that until i can get a built shortblock and tune it to 300whp

i'm figuring it wont hit full boost till 5-5.5k or so. i will however have a ZEX 59300 cam the whole time.

i plan to use a cc-fab "chuck norris" manifold, since it has a good collector to help spool. also, 3" downpipe and exhaust.

or would it be better to trade out this turbo for a 50 trim? i'm mainly looking for suggestions and looking at the long run.

 

that would be way to big for your goals. a 50 trim would be perfect!

 

i got t3 42/48 trim perfect for your stock z6 that's what i was running until i upgrade my piston and rods..willing to do even trade no shaft or leaks or a buner play internal wastegate. i'm lookin for 57/60 trim..let me know..

i think it will be fine. i wont be running it on the stock motor for long anyway

 

i dont think u will spool it till like 6. u figure it is a single cam 1.6. ls will spool it at 4000 1.8 dual cam, twice the intake/exhaust air.\

Try it tho,

 

my roommate runs that turbo on his Z6 in his CRX....super lag monster.

on the dyno it managed to spool 12psi by redline.

 

so **** my t3 42/48 trim is pERCect for his z6 huh?? haha.. spools very quick like at 4,000 then after that VTEC all the way!!!!!

 

4k damn i wish mine did that, i hit full boost at 2800

 

i had a .42/.48 on my car and it was lame. Now im rnning a 50 trim t3/t04e and its sweet. it takes a bit to build boost, but oh well.

yeah i wouldnt even waste my time on those...they are for people who like sub200whp
