T3 question
I found a turbo for my set up on my z6 and I think it might be to small. I had a super 60 on my d17 set up and it spooled at about 3600 and I want something that is a bit quicker to spool on this set up. Im going for about 175 whp. The turbo is a garrett .42/.48 ar but the wheels look pretty small. inside the exhaust housing it says .49 . Ill get a few pics of it in a few.....

Re: T3 question
that whould def spool faster. it might die on the upper end, nut thats prob one of the best small turbos that you can get for a d.

Re: T3 question
That looks like a T2 or a T25. Looks in good condition, but try to find something else.

Re: T3 question

Re: T3 question
It looked close to a t3 flange but i dindt know what the exhaust outlet flange was. I guess ill have to find something else cause my manifold is t3

Re: T3 question
Did you hold the turbo up to the maniold?
Those Nissan style T25s have a rectangular flange like a T3, but it's smaller, so unless you hold them up, or know what a T25 looks like, it's easy to mistake the Nissan style T25 for a T3. If you are only going for 175whp, the T25 will probably work. I know of a few people who have run these Nissan T25s on d-series engines. They have great low and mid range power, but the top end is choked a bit. |
Re: T3 question
looks like a t-2 off a sunbird turbo. it will support 175hp

Re: T3 question
only pic i could find. but this is it. i had one on my d15 and boost came in at 4k so will be sooner on a d16 but it will fullfill your power needs. stock wg is 7 psi. (look though my post the write up of the build is on here)
http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/9...turbinecm0.jpg just for the record this is probly my favorite turbo for a sohc. one more thing i liked about it, bolts right up to a greddy manifold |
