T3 clearance issues(gurus please)

hello everybody
after a long struggle i decided to sell my tiny garrett t15 and go with a T3.

but now i think i have clearance issue with the turbo/block . i didnt test fit that setup yet but i was wondering what you think.?

i dont want to flip the turbo because i want to keep my a/c,
i need the compressor side of the turbo on passenger side so i can keep my a/c.(slim fan is not a problam and i have planty of room for a nice downpipe between the turbo and the a/c compressor)

this is my turbo/manifold setup

I don't think I've ever seen anybody mount the compressor on the passenger side with an HF manifold.......maybe this is the reason why. :P

You could try to use one of those spacers that go between the manifold and the head to move the turbo further out. I believe BMC sells them?

im talking about this post where you were asking about clearance on your t3 and keeping ac with your hf manifold, much like the question you're asking now.

do you not need an adapter plate? because you don't have on in those pics. if so, just try to angle it toward the radiator, it looks like you only need an inch or so. have fun making that fucker

i totaly forgot about this one. is it really gonna boost at 2000rpm on a 1.4l engine?

no he's saying its gonna take forever to spool, and you're only gonna have 2000rpm's of range actually in boost. he probably has a pretty valid point on a 1.4L engine, thats tiny.

That thing looks like its going to hit the motor that way :-\ i would just ditch the ac, its not that bad and you can make a few bucks.

just grind the ---- out of the webbing on the block. when you create a hole, stop, get your jb weld out and patch that ---- up. thats what I did. :P

serisouly though, ditch the ac and turn the turbo around, or get a different manifold. as boost says, look how many people run the cold side on the pass side. :-\
