Default T3 .60intake/.48 exhaust QuestionS!

Hey Guys,
I have a few questions about this turbo.

1.) Can I run this turbo and wastegate with only 6psi if I find the correct spring?

2.) I'm using it on a stock d16z6, what do you guys think of doing this?

3.) Anyone have any comments on this turbo at all?

.60 compressor is a little big dont you think ? Seems that that would just add unwanted lag . Just curious, how come a lot of honda owners run such large compressors(.60)? I have seen 46 trim compressors make 300 RWHP on 2.0 liter engines. Seems like there are a ton of honda guys running this compressor, even though there nowhere near making the power this trim of compressor is capable of supporting. Is there a reason for this? Im not too familiar with these engines.

1) Yes
2) use good tuning and fuel mangment and ull be ok
3)nice big turbo, will make lots of power when lagg is over

lag = traction control

there won't be much lag at all. It's got a .48 Exhaust to cut spool time

Ull start seeing power @2700-3000 tops

I think it is the perfect turbo for a d16z6. I am running one on my d16z6 right now. Bill (chevy) also just got one of these turbos for his d16z6... https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...threadid=24225

That's the one I run on my D16y8 (10-11psi) and I don't think I would use anything smaller.
Bamboo's T25 is really cool if your wanting to have boost right away, but in a straight line I'll spank the ---- out of him.
Just ask yourself, do you want boost early and have it "fade" at higher rpms, or are you willing to wait a little while 3000ish and get a good kick in the ***?

I was even running one on my B18b setup and hit full boost about 4000. It started to spool about 3k. I loved that turbo, but my seals blew and it smoked like a bastard Ah well, new seyup is in the works

Donald, I would think there would be a difference in the size of the wheel.

I'm no expert, but from what I know you have the two a/r's (housing sizes) and the actual diameter of the wheel itself. Maybe someone can go more indepth with that.
