What RPM does the t3 .42/.48 start spooling at? At what rpm does it start losing boost? How reliable is the saab internal wastegate? Anyone experience any spikes with it? How much whp is this turbo good for? Thanks

 

umm what engine? and what type of mani? all this will determine the spool time and effiency.

My last T3 did as well and so does my T3/T4 on my B18b. Full boost by 4000-4200

 

well i got a t3 42/48 on my d16a6 and its run good!! hits full boost by 3500-4000rpm (depending what gear i'm in) I get full boost all the way to redline, it doesnt fall off any! also mine is not from a saab, its from the seller down2turbo on ebay...lots of people here get their turbo's from him. my wheel inside is bigger than most 42/48 turbo's i've seen

My Y7 is full spool at 3200rpm with a .42 .48 and a custom log mani.

 

how well does the saab internal wastegate holds up? anyone experience any boost spikes with it? what is the max whp this turbo can hold?

 

It spikes about 1 psi. Not bad at all. I have run 11psi with no problem.
