T25 Turbo question
On the T25 Eclipse turbo is there any way to not use that internal wastegate?
|
Re:T25 Turbo question
just weld it closed and take the actuater off.

Re:T25 Turbo question
Do you think that is worth it or am i better off just using the internal wastegat. Also can i get an adjustable internal for it? and how much do those usually run?

Re:T25 Turbo question
you need to know how much boost you want to run, the internal is set at 8psi, if you want lower you can lengthen the actuater arm by threading it and adding a pipe coupler. or you can buy an adjustable one, some cars came with adjustable ones from the factory, or you can find one on egay.

Re:T25 Turbo question
Yeah i have the T25 from the eclipse and its not adjustable and i guess i have to bend the rod to get 8Psi i tihnk someone told me. Im also debating running the HF manifold on my honda but im thinking of the HKS manifold. think the HKS for the price is going to be worth it? it runs about 320

Re:T25 Turbo question
the t-25 wastegate is already set at 8psi you don't have to change it unless you rotate you compressor and No.

Re:T25 Turbo question
HKS manifold is not worth $320, T25 is a tiny turbo and 8 psi on it is nothing. Use the internal wastegate and if you have to, which you will, turn it up with a manual boost controller that costs $10.

Re:T25 Turbo question
one of my turbos has the exhaust part of the wastegate permanently shut.it has a small wastegate(with no arm to adjust) attached to it with a line/hose from the wastegate to the turbo.it's suposed to be set at 9 psi.when i reach the 9 psi its suposed to be set at does the air exit thru the downpipe since the flapper has been permanently shut?
please explain if you know what i'm talking about.lol...thanx |
Re:T25 Turbo question
if the wastegate is permanently shut then you cannot use an internal wastegate. You have to use an external.
