Default t25 coolent in and out and oil questions

which line is in and out and which should be hooked up where... right now i have the line that runs from the head to the throttle body cut and it feeds the coolant to the front of the turbo's front fitting then comes out the other side where the line runs to the throttle body. does this sound right?

my car seems to run fine but once i get on the highway and run for a bit the water temp gets going up a bit... i'd like to make sure that dosn't keep happening

i also have an issue with my oil pressure and that it is leaking a bit at the down pipe, i have heard about some people using something called a restrictor plate on the bottom of the turbo, should i be using one on a D16z6 turbo?

I wouldnt wory about hooking up the water lines. The turbo will be fine without water. Your cars cooling system isnt designed to cool a turbo so the effects of you trying to do it will be negative . But you allready know that

Yes if your car wasnt designed for it. Manufactures use it to extend the life of the turbo, there fore beefing up the stock cooling system. We here at HMT dont give a ---- sbout longevity

I have always ran coolant to my turbo and it has had NO affect on the ability of the cooling system to keep my engine cool. But mabe it's just because it's a B16, I have no experence with any other honda engines and adding the coolant lines. Yes, my coolant system is all stock, half core radiator.

ok but for those of you that did run coolant is there an "in" and an "out" on t25's and which line should be connected to where...

i plan on continuing to run the coolant lines for the sake of keeping the turbo in good shape because i am pretty poor and can't be buying new turbos for no reason

restricting the oil flow to a standard bearing turbo wont do anything. i have had this problem with my previous dsm turbo honda and i just went with a turbontcis becuz the dsm turbos always blew oil out the exhaust side. and dont run coolant through your throttle body just use the hoses the go to and from doesnt matter there is no in or out of the coolant lines on a turbo. but if you run it hard just turbo time it instead of useing the stupid coolant lines
i had a coolant line break on my turbo and all the coolant went on the road more hassle that what is it work on a 100 turbo.

i am also supprised by the comments... I have a dsm t25 on a stock d16, and have been water cooling it since i installed it. I didn't notice any increase in engine temp... But then again, the summers are pretty cool in the mountains.

As for the in/out on the lines... Its just a water jacket, or sleeve, so there is no wrong way to feed the lines. it will flow either way.

I might consider unhooking the lines, and see how she reacts.. Will that by chance affect my Intake air temps?
