was prusing the junkyard today and found this...




.80 trim compressor .68 turbine... just about perfect for my 4agte project.

so anyone know what the stock boost levels are for these turbos? it spun smoothly and had inimal shaft play.

Exact boost levels Im unsure of, but I know they run fairly low boost. I'd say 6-8 psi or so.
If you dont want that turbo, I'll take it off your hands.
At one point in time I had everything needed to convert my engine to the 3.1L turbo in that picture (I have an N/A 3.1L) except for the turbo itself. I sold off the rest of the stuff, but I'd still be interested in doing the swap if I could get ahold of that turbo. Its a fairly rare car to find. I've only ever found one in the JY.

i used to have a na grand prix (pos) . the turbo ones are pretty rare and i think mclaren (yes the mclaren f1 people) had something to do with the engine and / or turbo on that car (or some other turbo gp i forget...). as long as it's in decent shape i'd grip it up.

Damn...that seems like it would be pretty big for a 4 cyl, but I don't know Toyota's very well...let us know how it works, I'm really curious.

er forgot to put that its a t25... WAY to small for that 3.1... but it does bump the 3.1 from 130ish hp to 205.

yup... rember a/r isn't just a number... it's a ratio... a small a/r on a t4 could be bigger then a big a/r on a t3.

as i recall the .80 is what they used on the early sr20det's in japan-land... should be good for boost to the mid/high teens
