Default Switchable BOV

I had this crazy idea, because sometimes i want to keep a low profile, and the sound of the BOV could alert some ppl of what i´m packing under the engine... i want it to be a real sleeper...

The idea is to put a "allways open" solenoid valve in the vacuum hose and when needed, close it... i have just the ideal valve for this, laying around...

The problem is the engine wiil be maped for a open BOV, when i "switch off" the valve besiedes it being ridicolous rich off throttle, will be there other problems??

This is just an idea...

it sounds like you are wanting to make the BOV not open? if thats what you mean it wont make a difference to your engine if it opens or not, but if it doesnt your turbo's life will be shortened quite a bit. if you want a sleeper have the BOV routed back into the turbine inlet. it will help keep the turbo spooled during shifts too
