supercgarged gsr
i have a gsr with a b16 head and a super charger and i need to know weather or not to raise lower or keep stock gsr compression. and i read that if i put an ls crank and ls rods it creates a mini stroker kit nad i needed to know weather or not the stroker would be a good or bad idea with the supercharger, its a jackson racing supercharger, any input will help
those superchargers dont have the capacity for Huge power like turbos but its prolly a very fun street car. I would put a thicker head gasket to drop the compression the stock internals are pretty stout on a B16. But if you went with a stroker kit with forged internals do low compression pistons. Your supercharger will never be able to max out a built B16. You might look into porting the blower. On 03-04 cobra's its good for 60 to 70whp i can imagine it would be good for another 20whp on your car. You could also throw some Methanol on there but i would just hit it with a shot of nitrous before the supercharger to drop IAT's. On a built motor i wouldnt worry about 12psi and a 100shot.
just keep your gsr internals.
a lot of people like around 10:1 cr on superchargers. you'll be close to that, i'd just leave it.
but make sure it's what you wanna do....not saying you would/will be, but a lot of people end up being disappointed with supercharged hondas and end up selling it and goin turbo.
you'd have a fun powerband for sure, but you won't get the nasty top end pull. small displacement high-revving motors just aren't the IDEAL candidates, but people still do it and some love it!
you're lucky that it's at least an m60 though. the m45 for ls heads and for dseries suck ***.
