Super boost!

Just wanted to get some opions, I have a bone stock b20 and I was wondering how much boost I could run it on. I also have two b18b's I killed one at 18psi and the other's still NA. I know the b20 has 8.8:1 compression, but I haven't torn it down so i don't know what the cyclinder walls look like or even how thick they are. Don't want to sleeve the block cus the car is a track -----.

I've heard the sleeves suck but I'm sure someone can give more concise info than that.

Everyone says the sleeves suck donkey balls but the engine was free and i have been wanting to do a B20 for some time. I have only worked with b16's b18c and b as well as sr20's. Don't really care if it blows up.

They have a monolythic sleeve design. Translation: they are about as desireable as a chick with herpes. Use the LS block for boost

since you dont care if it blows up or not, the answer is simple

boost it, post pics, vids, timeslips and numbers and let us know how long it lasts before it finds its final resting place

^^^ Im with this guy. Run 10lbs on it w/ appropriate fuel and timing, and rip it good.

10 pounds thats weak i was thinking more like 20. Ya I'll man up and kill it. I just hope that a don't send a piston through the hood or fender, cus I'm not fixing that ----. I have a b16 on 10 but it has thickass walls and high compression(10.1:1 Boo).

Well honestly. do you really expect a stock motor that was not meant for boost to 18lbs in the first place. thats why you blew that up. but for the B20. I wouldnt put more then 10lbs on it. you'll probably wont get far at all on 20lbs on the stock B20.

Re: Super boost!

I've seen a stock b20 making over 300 horse, they dont last long on boost tho as said, the sleeves are paper thin due to the way the motors are built and crack real easy.
