Default stupid inline pump!

Last night i was driving my ghettocharged 91 Integra, when my inline pump cut out, resulting in a blow fuel line and a small crack in my manifold! argh! I'm going to get a intank one now. What should i go with? all i'm doing for fuel managment is FMU for now. i heard a talon pump will work, is this true?

Ouch, I would invest in a Walbro 255. You can get one for under $100 and it will provide plenty of fuel. I have had a BBK 255 for about two years now and haven't had any problems with it. I paid like $225 for it from Summit.

psh, broke the intake? wtf?

get a intank Holly/Walbro 255lph pump, anywhere from 90-140 bucks.. check ebay, most intank pumps are universal.

It doesn't sound to me like the fuel pump caused your problems. If an inline pump quits you would just run out of fuel. Sounds more like your fmu is jacking fuel pressures too high and poped a line. fuel systems are not made to operate at 120+ psi for any amount of time.

no, no there not. But it'll have to do until i can afford to buy a proper system. I couldnt get a Walbro pump up here in canada. I had to get a BBK 255lpr.

I still don't understand how if an inline pump quite it would blow a fuel line and crack a manifold. That must be pressure related not from lack of flow. Your fmu setup is the problem not the inline pump.

When the inline pump stops working, it doesnt allow fuel to pass, resulting in a huge build up of pressure. Eventualy the line gave out. I was doing 200 km/hr when it happend, i didnt notice until my car started going BAng Bang yadda yadda. Just starving of fuel, and because i have a weak steel rather than cast iron manifold, she cracked under the heat! My FMU has to be working, 200 km to a tank says so!
