Stock MAF

Would a stock MAF not ment to see boost still work? or do I have to go steel MAF off of a turbo volvo?

Re:Stock MAF

what toyota do you have, on some cars you can such as a 240 and 200sx you can modify a 300zx maf to fit.. i dont suggest doing it if you do not have reference to it being done

i drive a camry, I know it will be hard to find all the right pin outs but the Mafs from the volvos look like a good mach

Re:Stock MAF

you gotta also look for different voltage reading if they differ.... if anything try and swap a toyota piece on there maybe from a supra or mr2 turbo and see if that works..

Re:Stock MAF

Re:Stock MAF

Your stock Maf should work...but it depends on how big it is.
At a certain point it can't read all the air coming in accurately.
Maybe you need bigger injectors and sumtin' to control them or a FMU.
I got 2 friends running turbo's on there Swift Gti's with there stock Maf's

Re:Stock MAF

so you think a MAF from a v6 camry will do the trick because it is geared to get more air?

Re:Stock MAF

Yeah I would put the V6's MAF
it will be able to read more air coming in.
So you can boost higher

Re:Stock MAF

Can't you "hack" that car? I'm sure there is something out there that can fix this. ???

Re:Stock MAF

With a MAF you have no problem like Car's that run MAP's
You don't need to do nothing to boost.
Just put your turbo kit and fuel management and boost.
At a certain point when you reach the MAF's max range than you can go look for a bigger maf Like the V6 MAF.
Mine friend with the swift Gti runs 15 psi on his stock MAF.
