Stock Ls exhaust manifold????
Hey i was wondering can a stock ls manifold be made into a turbo manifold? kinda like the hf mani into a turbo mani.
thanks |
i dont know are you able to cut and weld iron. just make it so a sinktrap
yea my friend has a welder and iron cutter. so is it possible?
as long as you can mount your turbo on it, it will work.
dont forget that the oilreturn should be above the oil level in the oilpan. |

sweet thanks guys
nice idea had the same for a sohc
maybe a sinkstrap will work
just cut off the flange that fits the turbo you want to use and weld it up or take it to a fab shop.. anything is possible!
a fab shop will probably cost you more than just buyin an ebay log style but hey whatever floats four boat
ya i would just chop the flange off if you can and then use lil piping and your good. that is if your trying to do it on a budget
agreed shouldnt be to hard if a guy on here can make a log mani out of cast plumbing pipes you can make one one outta a ls mani
If you have a two piece cast design with steel piping bottom and lots of free time try cutting the two bottom pipes. Get some mandrel tubing bent or pie cut to 90 degrees and build yourself a nice top mount set up. Been done many times
yea, pretty simple IMO.. fabrication makes anything possible. lol
