5-8 psi with stock injectors and an AFC would work, but you are going to be working those injectors sooooo hard. I am guessing you are using some sort of check valve also? This is not a good idea. 5-6 psi with the AFC is not so good on the timing curve and with a check valve anything after that would be not so good. Good luck with this setup. Be careful and listen for detonation. :-\

Re:Stock Injectors

If you are using the stock injectors you will need some sort of check valve. Using the stock injecotrs with an AFC isn't "the hack". You need some larger injectors to get away with running boost without a check valve.

Re:Stock Injectors

I asked this same question in a post jus a few under this one. DR.BOOST also answered my question. Now I have the car running with turbo at 5psi on stock injectors while using the missing link. Before I go higher I am going to finish hooking up this SAFC and then put in the ignition system and the 450cc injectors in. But for now, its working...GOOD

If you have any questions DR.BOOST has the answer and I can offer all that I have learned.

Im running 450 cc injectors, and I cant get my car to idle right. I used the 10 wt 10 ohm resistors like in the "tech projects" section. Im running it with a vafc, tuned down near the -42-35 range. Can anyone help?

Re:Stock Injectors

I think you need to have a lower resistance than that. Try using lower resistors. Are you sure the injectors are good?

Re:Stock Injectors

Sometimes what people get confused about is, that when you use the 450's with the AFC's you are modifying the input voltage to the map sensor to the ecu. Thus when you boost the map will never reach over 3.0v and you will not need to use a Check valve setup. Now if your doing things backwards, using stock injectors, and putting the AFC in the positive settings (giving more fuel) the CEL will trigger when you hit boost, so check valves/missing link will be needed.

I'd say this setup could be relibile, I would trust it more than a FMU setup, you would just be pushing the duty cycle as hard as the injectors can go. My guess is 6-8psi should be fine, but only a wideband o2 will tell you the real results ;)
