stock EVO 8 IC or JRC/CCA on CRX w/ b16??

Hey. I have a 91 CRX with a b16a that I plan to add boost to. The block will have forged internals and may even be posted/pinned with the endyne block posts. I want to run about 15 PSI max. Anyway, I have a stock EVO 8 intercooler I got off a friend for under a bill and I'm wondering if I should use it or just sell it on ebay or some ---- and get a Johnny Racecar or Custom Coach type intercooler. The dimensions of the EVO IC are about 25in x 11 in x 3 in.
Will it be too tall and block the rad? Will it be a bitch to mount?
And I gotta think about efficiency, etc...
Whatcha think?
Thanks.

just to give ya an idea of what the one I have looks like

I would just keep that EVO 8 IC, use that extra cash to put toward something else in your setup.

looks like it might be hard to make fit cause of how tall it is. u may have to modify the steel bumper. and the inlet/outlet are goofy on those ic's. also making it more difficult to run the charge pipes.

Those intercooler look great but i dont think they will fit right on the civic either. Too much to modify when you could sell and maybe get a CCA intercooler. i just prefer the long sytle to the taller ones on smaller engine set ups.

cool.
those are just the type of things i was wondering/concerned about. the stock EVO IC's go for a decent price on ebay so i'll prolly sell it and get a JRC or CCA.
has anyone used a JRC back anodized IC like the one here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMESE%3AIT
i like the stealth idea to keep my forced induction low-key.
or has anyone had success spray painting a regular IC flat black? i figure the good ol' spray paint technique is cheap & easy, but does it ---- with the cooling capabilities of the IC?
thanks for helping out this FI noob.

flatblacking itwont affect it wha tso ever.

the 5 and 6" will fit into the crx bumper without any modifications to the front support , if you do the 8" expect to hack some ----.

Sell the Evo8 one for sure. There's no need to go through the extra hassle of the fabrication for the Evo8 intercooler when you can just pick up a JRC or CCA for like 200 bucks.

It's just easier that way.
