Stock B series manifold - Turbo adapter plate

Hey, I have an LS B18 motor with 30 k on it, and my buddy gave me a turbo off of a 300zx, I have an inter-cooler, BOV and pipe bender for all the tubing, a FMU and Pres Reg, I am vary mechanically inclined and I was wondering if there was any significant down-side to using my stock exhaust manifold with an adapter plat to make the turbo set-up fit...

not an adapter plate...but you might be able to hack up the stock manifold and weld a flange on there

well it all depends where you cut the stock manifold

True but its way to much work and if u cut it high enough then the flange wont cover the width of whats left of the manifold.. Buy a manifold man

if u can ---- with it and get the turbo to sit high enough, go for it. as long as u got all the exhaust goin 2 to it, and u can still have a clean oil return line.... do it up, then post pics

I was thinking of doing the same thing but the turbo was very low and would not work very well for the oil return. I just said screw it and made my log manifold HMT style.
It has cracked twice already but it was fun to do

I 2nd this one.. let us know if u mod out the manifold or make an adapter plate.

For us poor B series people, there is no cheap way around a manifold.
D series gets to use the HF + adapter plate
F (& H23-i think) get to use a dsm manifold

and if you own an h22 then you've already spent way too much into building that motor that a few hundred more won't hurt for a nice stainless manifold.
