Hey, the rest of us fucked up our cars by learning, Now it's your turn!!

Really man, Just search. And if you can't fiqure out the process, don't do it, because for the first while you'll be fixing a lot of stuff that wasn't done right the first time. So if you can't install the kit, You WONT be able to fiqure out how to fix it!

Re:step by step turbo instalation...

how much boost do you plan on running? you need to make sure that your turbo's not going to blow your engine on the first pull. also if you are running on stock internals i can not stress more about getting a good fuel system. Injectors and some type of computer system whether it is hondata or uberdata or whatever.

i just wanna run like 6 or 7 which everis better.... i dont really understand uberdata.. i have the apexi safc2 w/o injectors.. i need bigger injectors..i think ihave an idea on how to do it its justall in my head.... i heard u have to retard timing like .5 degrees for every lb of boost u have? true or not?

sounds to me like your pretty young huh? nobody is going to give you a step by step process dude, its a learning curve, if you dont know how to turbo the car on your own you wont be able to fix it when it breaks leaving you up ---- creek, you need to research and understand how everything works and then you will just know what your doing, (i think) most of the guys on here that know their ---- are not 16-17 years old but they have been screwing with this ---- since they were that age, like president bush said, ITS HARD WORK

One of my friends told me this story about what one of his superior said to him. Though I'd relay the message...

"Can you think? Can you read? Do you see that bookstore? Go buy some books."

Research kid. If you don't, some ------- will rip you off.

1. get a beer, read this forum like a little boy in a porn store. (reading everything and looking at lots of pictures) read all of the stickeys, there is a reason they are stickeys.
2. throw away beer and get another
3. then start looking at ---- to buy, sounds like you already have a good majority of ---- you need.
4. get another beer (yes, by the 4th step, you should be on your 3rd beer)
5. then start playin around with your stuff. take ---- apart, clean it, get familiar with it. (we all do this)
6. look at what other people use, and how they use it. alot of people on here use the stealthmode oil line kit. It is everything you need, and works really well.
7. the adaptor plate is also really easy to come by. its in the classified section also. look under the BMC race or weir racing thread. both are very reputable people.
8. get another beer. (by this time, you are probably feeling it)
9. start thinking of how you want to set ---- up, how you want to do it, and when.
10. go pass out.
repeat this process daily for about a month. your turbo mind will be filled with knowledge.

when you start buying stuff, just kinda think of how you want to set it up, all of that kind of stuff. we all learned by screwing ---- up, putting ---- on backwords, grinding holes in blocks, we all screw ---- up at one time or another. this is how you learn. we all started here. ;)
dont expect 1 person to spell the ---- out. tell your dad to look in here to.

;D hahaha

Man you have a lot of reading to do. It took me a month before I even knew all the essentials parts to making a custom kit. You really need to read and just experiment, look at other peoples setups, there are tonnes of write-ups on putting together a turbo kit for your car you just have to look. And if I were you I wouldnt let your dad do any of the work the more you do the more you learn and unless you are carrying your dad in the trunk the whole time you are going to need to know how to fix it if something goes wrong. You do sound pretty young, especially referencing the fact that you want your dad to do the work, I dont suggest the beer idea though junkyard he most likely isnt old enough yet. P.S READ!

Eh, go get Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. Read it cover to cover. Then, AND ONLY THEN, come back here and ask intelligent questions. Otherwise, you're just gonna be labeled a stupid n00b and no one will take you seriously and eventually start ignoring your posts.

max boost really helped me get the visuals going. sometimes you can read and read and read, and if you can't come up with the right picture in your head all you have are meaningless words. one of these days I might get motivated and make pictures for the faq, but probably not, I'm lazy.

i did this minus the steps involving beer. and then i read some more. and i still have no idea nad i've put at least 50 hours into reading turbo setup q and a's and all sorts of crap on this website and a lot of others. this site however provides a bounty of links to many sites full of incredibly jammed pack turbo information.

read, read..read some more...then start thinking, then go read more. cuz thats what i ended up doing and still am doing. doesnt hurt to message, email and chat with a few of the members though, some may come off as asshats, which some are, but a lot of them are very helpful and cool people who know wtf they are talking about.

i think the first thing i read on this site was "search before you even think of posting" or something like that, and so i did, and pretty much its something that you're gonna need to do, cuz spoon feeding is not looked upon highly around these parts.
