i have about 500$ yes low on cash but because i just ground up built my 94 civic eg and rebuilt d16a6 blcok and fully done out d16z6 head ! highomp.

i want to throw on a turbo kit for daily driving fun so i want quick spool and no lag, 9-14 psi, i can get it tuned by the shop i work at,

im a noob when it comes to the whole ar and sizing and maps, please tell me what a good turbo would be for this setup ?

what kind of turbo ??

internal or external wastegate ?

size piping ??

etc

I wall paypal 15$ to the person that pretty much gives me out a nice write up on how i should determent, and what u have to do to be under my 500 budget ?

The turbo is a DSM 14b. with ss-auto manifold with adapter plate to fit D series motor. this kit was installed on a del sol for a about two months and ran great making 9psi of boost on stock wastegate. i just dont have time to mess with the car anymore and never had the time to get it tuned. the turbo spooled quickly and made full boost at around 3500 rpm. it pulled hard under boost but it was untuned so i never really pushed it. this kit comes almost complete, all you need is a walbro fuel pump and you are set. PLEASE MAKE ALL QUESTIONS CLEAR BEFORE BIDDING>> PROFESSIONAL INSTALLION HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

SPECS:

- 14b / td05 turbo. very very little shaft play.
- SS-auto manifold with D series adapter plate, and down pipe (not pictured)
- Intercooler and pipes, (custom fitted for del sol)
- DSM 450cc injectors
- custom plug and play resistor box to run the DSM 450cc on your honda.
- Golden Eagle Vacuum Manifold
- Chipped p28 ECU with base map
- ebay knock off boost controller
- Type s , style BOV
- Oil lines with oil restrictor (from stealth mode performance)
- Dual gauge pod
- Black VDO boost gauge
- Black autometer Air / fuel gauge

Read this post from a couple of days ago, go to this site, pay the money
($5.50), use the calculator with the "14b drop down map". Let it tell you how it will work, then you tell us K?

That's what make's the "calculator" so nice, it overlays your engine specs right on top of the map of your choice (in this case, a map of a 14b)
Turbo maps are just kind of like a bulleye, but just think of it as being drawn freehand by an engineer with say the shakes. The objective remains the same just like a bullseye, it's to be as much in the sweet spot ( the smallest ring at the center) as much as possible. Do you want the most of the power at the lower rpms, higher rpms, or is a inherited turbo what you have to work with, and you just want to see how close a match it will be.

put the kit on and get it tuned you said you dont want to mess with your car a lot well then you might be in the wrong place this is homemadeturbo.com not H-T where shops do all the work. there will always be a little lag but that setup should run just fine on a single cam

And ask the guy for a better pic of that tube-mani, he's got it mounted backwards on that turbo in the picture for some reason? Ask him straight up... how many times he's welded the cracking.
You gotta pay your dues, like the man said, dues here, is not just about writin a check.
