steathmode oil pan fitting question

Default steathmode oil pan fitting question

how should i go about making sure this seals? braze it or jb weld it?

This is the huge downfall to the Stealthmode kit. I'd say JB weld it but I would go find a fitting to weld onto the pan.

I think no matter what fitting I used I would still JB weld it. Why the hell not?

hundreds of people have just jb welded theirs, I did, and it works, why do all the extra hassle when you can do it for $4.99?

i JB'd it with gasket sealeant and put thread locking tape on it. Haven't had a problem since

i ended up welding a peice of tube onto the pan. as good as jb weld may be, there is just no substitute for the real thing :P

I just went to the hardware store and bought a steel pipe reducer bushing pictured above (middle right). It takes the 3/8 barbed fitting and up to a 1/2" pipe thread. I drilled the pan, screwed the fitting in and welded it in. The part is ~$1.50 at any hardware store.
