Default STD mani to turbo adapter

I'm currently rebuilding my d16a6 to go turbo. I am planning on using a 5g civic dual core radiator w/ an electric fan so I can keep my a/c. Would I get excessive lag or any other problems if i had a short tube going from the STD exh mani to my turbine housing so I could mount the turbo w/ the shaft vertically in front of the ac compressor. I would have the downpipe coming straight down and rotate the compressor housing to point right towards the battery(I have some different plans for my intercooler placement). anyways, the only problem i can think of is lack of oil to the turbo from this mounting.

Thanks guys,
Keenan

and hi to everybody on this forum, I'm new here obviously

could i just have the shaft of the turbo angled, like 30 degrees or somethin? does the shaft need to be pretty much horizontal? what would be the max angle if i can angle it? and would this make my turbo lag any more?

The way I plan on doing this (HF mani w/AC) is to make a 45 degree adapter and have the compressor on the passenger side. The compressor inlet will sit next to the D16Z6 stamp. I already have the 2.5" shc40 steel elbow, the custom waterjet'd 3/8" thick steel flanges, now just need the fan removed so I can weld it up. Looking from the front of the car, the gases will go down out of the HF mani, swing forward into the t3 flange, the out the turbine (turbo's shaft will be about 5-15 degrees tilted up on the comp side), then down a tightly bent 3" DP (plan on pinching the sides to make it between the block/xmember).

To do it cheaper, you could just make the adapter with a t3 and HF flange, then simply box the two together with plate. From what I know, it will have some reversion or something - basicly where the gases move into the other parts of the manifold rather than the turbine. Thats where increased boost and the zex cam come in.
