I don't think I've seen anyone destroy an engine like that. usually its a hole, busted rod and the remains of a piston but dang, go big or go home huh?

 

how much was it boosting? thats a busted rod, and normally that means it was just strait up to much power.

 

i THINK 8psi, but my boost gauge didnt really work, so who knows. the WG works fine so i think that i only ran 8 but don’t know for sure. ill be putting the new motor in today and have it tuned this weekend. hopefully nothing happens till then.

 

Wow. No boost gauge, no tune, burnt up oil in the head. I wonder how it blew so fast.

i have the duel turbo timer/boost gauge but i guess it doesn’t work. i just got a reg. boost gauge. and hey it had 201k

 

ok I finished everything yesterday and took it to revtech to get it tuned. they checked everything fixed a few small things, then they started to tune it. they stopped and said that I have a vac. leak. he sprayed some stuff on my IM and the car almost died. he asked if I plugged some four little wholes in the y8 IM and I was like so he said take off the IM and plug the wholes and come back tomorrow to finish tuning it. DOSE ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS ANOTHER WAY TO DO THIS W/O TAKING THE IM OFF ? WILL A SILICON OVER THE IM WORK ? ONE GUY THERE SAID IT WILL BUT IT WILL LOOK LIKE ----. SO ANY IMPUTE WILL BE APPRECIATED.
