Okay so I installed the ssautochrome turbo kit that I have had for two years onto my CRX finally. Before I get flamed by any of you for hacking this entire thing up I did it for fun and it came out not that half bad. I own two 1990 CRX si's and a 2008 civic si and decided to have a little fun with this one when I finally had a day off from work.

heres the specs lol
-SSAutochrome t3/t4 hybrid turbo
-SSautochrome Turbo Manifold ramhorn style
-No Blow Off Valve
-Internal Wastegate on turbo doen't work Its got to be set at like 50psi or somethin lol
- No oil lines connected to turbo just filled it and capped it lol
- Stock Fuel Injectors
- Retarded the timing 5 degrees with AEM adjustable Camgear
-Home Depot Shop-Vac Hose (for charge pipe from Turbo to TB)
-95 civic radiator :P
-FAZE boost gauge (read 14psi I dk) lol

I have videos of the car running and everything and let me just say that this took a total of 4 hours being completly shitfaced haha and we just had to start it and drive it down the street. :1 (after we were completely sober of course), Funny thing is in the video the hood couldnt close all the way so wen boost hit the hood came flying up and smashed into the windshield, didn't even crack it though, its just wen the hood smashed back down it hit the short ram intake i left in the motor because it had a nitrous line connected to it and we were to lazy to take it out. At the end o this build I must say that the turbo and header from ssautoshit isny that bad considering i have drivin it with no oil and it read boost around 10psi and spike up to 14psi on my stock d16 lol.

P.S. this was just for fun, so don't think Im serious about this, just thought i'd share my eventful day with everyone.

welli read thru and what the ----. Well i guess that is a disposibel race car. ssauto + D16 + no tune+ no oil = 25 min of fun at most. Thats being verry optimistic

The SSautochrome kit sucks and you wouldn't believe how long it would take to install this thing properely. I did this because I just want to have some fun number one and see if the manifold was going to crack like everyone said or the turbo was goin to blow into peices. It would of been pointless to spend probably 2 days trying to install it properely and then have the turbo split into two pieces the first start up or the manifold crack. I installed it very basic in order to make sure I wasnt goin to have a problem with the parts. Now that it has proven itself lol I will waste that extra time its going to take to cut my crossmember, cut their downpipe and face it the right way lol, reweld all the intercooler piping that half the peices look like they belong on a ------ mack truck, Im talking 4 inch sized charge pipes lol. The intercooler is decent but doesnt have any mounts or nothing.. Also it came with no oil lines so i got to shop around for that. You can start ripping on me if I install the Blow Off valve onto the Shop Vac hose lol

By the way I bought this kit from a buddy who bought it offline for 700 with the intercooler kit too, this was a little less than 2 years ago, i paid him 350 for all of it after he saw all the posts about how crappy it was and decided to not install it. This kit was made before all the posts about how shitty it was becuz i know they revamped up their new kits so that just goes to show you its pretty decent, BUT DONT buy it lol, too much ---- needs to be adjusted

I wouldnt say youve proved anything about the turbo OR the manifold...Since the kit isnt installed properly, it hasnt really been pushed yet. I foresee that manifold cracking when you have everything properly installed. I dont know if i'd run that turbo anymore now that youve run it dry. Oh and if you had taken the time to install it all properly and something did go wrong, all the hard work would already have been done, you would just have to swap out whatever broke, bolted it back together and been on your way.

If anything i'd say you caused yourself more work by doing it the Dee-Da-Dee way.

BTW, you have horseshoes up your ***, zeniceguycrx on this site has been through 3 windsheilds the same way you almost lost yours.

Boost it properly, close the hood and post some real ripper vids. The car looked no faster than stock, just had turbo music.

yea i kno, I wouldn't of posted it on here if I wasnt goin to get ripped on. I am going to be working on it on my days off and get it so it runs nicely but the headgasket was blown as well before the turbo install, so i need to fix that on top of everything else. I will have it all hooked up nicely and post a video of it running the right way, dont you worry. due to the headgasket blowing I had to get the new car plus I just got a new job so now im in the money and ready to buy a new welder. as i said in the previous posts it boosted up to 10psi quickly and spiked randomly up to 14psi, I believe becuz of the shitty internal wastegate. As for it being faster than stock it does have more punch but not that of 10psi , also shitty clutch as you can tell from the video and being unable to shift into 1st sometimes. This thing was a junker and i threw a junkerturbo on it and im surprised at how it acted so thats why i wanted to share it with all of you, Plus its somethin id like to see lol, not every build is perfect and this one had all the possibilities of going much worse than it did haha
