Default srp pistons

Hello!

I have to replace my PR3 pistons and rings. I thought to buy 81mm srp pistons instead and put them on stock rods (B16A2).
My question is which compression ratio do you suggest? I do not want to boost more than 10-13psi (this is why i don't want to buy new rods either), so too low compression is not needed. I use my car on low-mid rpm (street) mainly. SRP has 9.6:1 and 9.9:1 comp. pistions. I've been boosting 7-11psi with luck (until now - my rings have gone) for 2 years.

And which size cometic gasket is OEM replacement? 81mm .030" MLS?

Thanks,

Peter

Go with the 9.9:1 and OE thickness is the Cometic .027.

Why not upgrade the rods as well while your down there? Not only will you have the comfort of having forged rods, but you can crank the boost up and then you'll definitely be happy

No money for rods, bigger injectors (though i can sell my 450cc), walbro 255, 3bar map, stronger valves, stronger clutch.
11.2psi is enough for me at the mo. Perhaps a year later.

stock b16 rods are good for over 400 whp all day long..

The r/s ratio is good and the rod is made of a great material stock.
