Default spooling but no boost..please help

i just finished installing a custom turbo and was driving around...i can hear the tur bo spooling and bov is going off...but im not getting any boost...im thinking its the actuator because its not opening/closing the flap to the wastegate....but when i blow into the tube to the actuator it moves the flap...i also checked the nipple from the comprressor to seee if there's pressure coming out...the pressure didnt seem too strong to move the actuator...pleae help..

how can you drive and look at the wastegate actuator?

the wastegate actuator works off of boost, not vacuum.

On a lift will not give you any boost.. The engine has to have a load on it, otherwise it will not make power.

If you are still getting 0psi on the road, Start checking for leaks in your charge piping, it doesnt take much. If you are absoultly positive you have no leaks whatsoever in your charge piping do this..... (be extremely careful) take the vacuum line off the wastegate actuator, and just go drive it real quick, but keep an eye on the boost gauge, dont get all ------- throttle happy, because with the wastegate line unplugged, it will spool 20+psi. this is just to see if everything is working ok.. spool up to 5-8psi just to make sure its working. You may have a defective wastegate actuator. But more than likly you have a leak.

Keep checking, and let us know.

So the actuator moves when you blow into it? That must be a considerable amount of pressure your putting through that tube. I wish my girlfriend could do that.

Hehe are you really sure about that? I could see that hurting the one-eyed man a bit.
