Re: sparying oil

well, go to autozone.com and see how much a new one costs. then search online for a civic manual and look up how to change whatever seal it is your after. Either one is a quick fix if you have the right tools ;)

$450 for a junkyard engine, have you lost you ------- mind? I only paid $500 for a low mileage zc vtec from a local engine importer. And it has a 2year warranty. I dont know the exact milage of mine but when i took off the valve cover and oil pan it looked brand freakin new.

No you didnt but I had no problem finding a camshaft seal on my single cams or at napaonline.com, part # BA 0523331. So what is it a technicality?? Please do tell, im on the edge of my seat waiting for you to tell the wonders of the d16 :-X

wtf are you talking about? He is talking about oil around the timing belt cover. the distributor is on the back side of the engine and it has a o ring to seal the it. Then theres the front side of the engine. what do you think stops oil from pouring into the timing belt cover? The cam seal sits right behind your cam gear on your single cam. it's real, I swear :y
