The plugs I used are 3.69 from Jegs, local speed shop only charges $2 each if I buy eight.

Reason being he buys in sets of 8 for the V8 cars, it screws up his stocking, but for the price break, I can't complain.

11.5:1 built B16 running 150 WET shot, he was having issues with melting plugsplugs. Carlin had a set of R5671A-9's from a SR20 motor, I cleaned and gapped them to .030" slapped them in, no more tuning issues.

11.8-12.0 A/F and traction became a issue in 3rd gear now.

We won't talk about the long reach OEM style Champions that tapped the piston tops at 8500-9000 rpms closing the gaps down.

Very interesting indeed. I think I'm going to order some of these tomorrow and see how they fair.
I really wish I could spend a few weekends hanging around you guys, get to see first hand what really goes on.

I ran the -7's on the street, NA D16Z6 with 325 injectors, fuel pressure turned down and still got 44 mpg.

would i need to put a washer on the plug so it doenst go to far into the cc or do they just look really long? if so those are wat im buying next for my y8. i run the bkr7e11 and they are good but they run best brand new and you have to order at lest 10 at a time so you dont run out.. my friend had a ls vtec on a 125 dry shot and keep burning up plugs. lol wish i woulda known this then.

I've had no problems with the 7e-11's so far, but I have found that if you run a plug that is too cold for your setup they will only run best when brand new...because they never get up to temp to burn off the carbon buildup on the plug. It sounds to me like you need to drop down to 1 step hotter. Check your ground strap for the annealing mark, that will clue you in to your plug temp.

The R5671A's are short enough.

Try clearing this with stock plugs.......they won't!

Lol that's how one of my first d-series attempts looked like...d15 pistons on d16 rods except without that high of a dome. That's bad-ass though, how in the hell do you keep it from kissing the head under higher rpm? Man, talk about putting the combustion in the head where it belongs lol.

i've never changed my plugs ever.. just gapped them. changing spark plugs is overrated

Alot of room in A6 combustion chambers. Even with a BIG Crane 251-0016 cam working the valves. It has .425" lift, I have enough room for .485" on the next cam.
