Spark Plug gap?????
 

I'm running 8 psi intercooled on a D16A6. What plug gap should I have? Thanks

.30 should be good.
If you start to experience some misses on the top end, gap a bit tighter to .28

I wonder if this is why my car keeps running lean and poping? I have gehtto spark plugs champions and they're not gapped but i know the gap is huge I was just running those because the car need some plugs. I just picked up some ngk 7 heat range and gapped them to .30 can't wait to get home.

----. I need to decrease my gap. I gapped some BRK7e's on my D16z6 to 44 (stock gap) I prolly should gap them tighter because im getting popping on the top end.

So 30 will work?

i ran nitrous before with split fire spark plugs with 75shot of nitrous, i kept detonating. dudes told me its the spark plug, which i didnt believe, but once they installed zex spark plugs, it didnt detonate. i say be safe and get spark plugs designed for turbo/nitrous application. so you dont have to worry about pieces of spark plugs breaking off :O

On turbo cars always run at least a 7 heat range, 8 if you're making lots of power, and gap as high as you can get away with because it will allow more of the a/f mixture between the electrode and the ground strap. Gap is different from car to car depending on the setup and strenth of the coil, but once you get it right you'll be fine.

wrong dude... for 80whp gain or so go for 1 STEP colder from stock.. so if stock is 5's go to 6's.. if you are 5 stock and go to 7, that's 2 steps (meant for 160whp gain) and you'll foul the plugs and misfire for sure... trust me i had that problem... most d series are 5 range stock anyways so get bkr6e-11 (stock 99-00 SiR plugs)

not necessarily. Many people would agree with that but i would differ. The stock D16z6 says #5 plugs for daily driving and #6 for hard driving. Add turbo and i'd go 1 step over 6 =7.(this is my reasoning for putting 7 in) I put in Brk7es into my D16 w/the hack and at 7psi i really had no fouling at all. Just a difference of opinion.
