sound byte for dsm 1g bov?
 

could someone record a sound byte for a dms bov so i can see what they sound like, i was determining if it will be suffiecent or if i will have to buy a different sounding and performing setup. thanks

heh, that was funny..

They sound very similar to the Greddy Type S blow off valves. Trust me, they sound pretty decent.

i dont think its a BOV it is a Air Bypass Valve so a ABV :)

What sort of non-sense are you talking about? An Air Bypass Valve is in no way shape or form similar to a Blow off Valve. As a matter of fact, they'r elike, almost completely opposite.

The blow off valve releases air, the bypass valve lets air in when your intake filter is submerged.

Yes, I believe they're talking about Blow off Valves, especially since Bypass valves don't make noise. ::)

No not a CAI Bypass valve.

A 1st gen BOV is a Bypass valve trust me I have one. Ithas a1" pipe and a flared end for you to attach a hose which will go back into your intake piping to reduce lag or smething

A true BOV is stricly ment to realeaseinto the atmosphere

I had them both and think the greddy type S sounds better than the 1st gen dsm BOV(in our cases it's a blow off valve). Not that the dsm one sounded bad it's just the greddy sounds a lot louder and higher pitched IMHO.
