Default Something to think about......

I was just thinking....people say "you can boost 8psi on a stock D series properly tuned". Which turbo does this apply to? I mean it's the CFM and bad tuning that kill an engine not the psi...I think people need to think in terms of CFM when they say they can run x amount of boost, not psi. 8 Psi will most likely kill a stock Dseries coming from a large T3/T4 but from a T25 you can boost 8 psi all day on a Dseries. I just wanted to make the point that CFM is what matters, not psi. I know CFM is a function of Psi( sort of) but i just wanted to start a discussion on this......each turbo setup is unique to itself and there is no set amount of boost an engine can handle.....it's the power output that dictates when an engine will grenade. ......i feel better....

true but guess what.

D series cant spool a t3/t4 or any other turbo thats gonna gernerate more CFM.

its takes more exhaust gases to create more cfm..

a Dseries could spool up a full T4 but only past 6000Rpm. I'm not talking about driveability here, I'm talking about how people think 8Psi is 8Psi regardless...
