some progress on my build.. EJ8 Holset HX35 (updated on page 2)
what's up nogs.. I've been working on this slowly for the past year or so.. here's the latest progress.. I'll keep this thread updated as I go along.
it's tough doing work on your daily driver, especially being a full time college student.
engine specs:
B16A 81.5mm bore
Wiseco 9:1 forged pistons
TunerToys rods
ARP head studs
local shop valve work
GSR cams
springs & retainers
s2000 throttle body port matched
shaved oem flywheel (13lbs)
Exedy stage 1 clutch (can't hold boost anymore )
YS1 gear box
forced induction specs:
Holset HX35
EVO VIII backdoor ----- intercooler
Tial 35mm wastegate
steel braided lines
2.5" downpipe
2.5" charge pipes
cdm bov
tuning:
DSM 450cc
p75 chipped ecu w/ datalogging
tuned on Crome
JAW wideband
other:
homemade rockstar catchcan
skunk2 coilovers

thanks.. also look at the right side of my hood with the EVO intercooler.. you can see all the black left overs from breaking my driver side mount, which was full of some oil crap. It's now welded solid

notched my block for the A/C compatible setup.. let me tell you, this was a PAIN IN THE ------- *** because it was scorching hot yesterday, and I had to work with a dremel and cut-off wheels that kept breaking. also the nuts and bolts on my exhaust were seized up, and I was stuck at home since my gf was at work.. turbo is about to be bolted up so I can finish making the down pipe

turbo mounted.. the wastegate isn't mounting because it hits the head. I'm thinking about blocking it off for now until I can get a cheap wastegate elbow from ebay or something.. i'll baby it until the wastegate is mounted
first cut for my downpipe clears the a/c compressor by about 3/4"
