Amazing project! What I like most is that you did the work yourself and is devoid of madtyte jdm madness. Way to keep it real :6

Hondas are great daily drivers, but no sports car. :) I have been toying with the idea of turbocharging my Insight but the car works so well in stock form I don't want to take away from what Honda engineered.

Your triangles make me hard by the way.

The RX-7 forum has been pretty bad as of late with all the political BS, but it's still my favourite. I have been lurking on and off here for about the past year so I decided I may as well register and post up a thread. The whole turbo-Honda thing (which 90% of this forums seems to be) really isn't my thing but it's still cool to see everyone else's projects, fabrication, etc.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Something in the video?

I've had an SA, and still have an FB. Unfortunately both have been reduced to scrap due to rust. 1st gens are great cars, every bit as fun as the 2nd gen. Perhaps even more fun when they are turbocharged. In fact tomorrow I'll be helping tune a friend's car running a 13B 6 port, stock HT-12 turbo and a Megasquirt.

My next project is my 1976 Mazda RX-5 Cosmo:

Going to get a turbo 6 port from my GSL-SE with a little GT30R, air to water IC, Megasquirt.

You have come a long way since those days, keep

BTW my old user name back then was VtekEater remember me??

The spacer method worked out quite well for the prototype setup with the stock turbo. I wish I had put a bit more though into wastegate actuator placement before I notched the frame but what's done is done. Several others have used the spacer method as well with good results. Now people are starting to use a spacer between the turbo and manifold, which eliminates the wastegate issues and allows a convenient place to mount an external gate if desired.

My next little mini-project is a remake of my electric scooter. Same motor but a different controller with the batteries configured at 48V. The platform will be made from scratch with angle iron to house the batteries and controller with the stock front end mounted and extended to accept the pneumatic tires. I'll probably get to it sometime around the spring though this summer is going to be VERY busy.

Sometime this summer. Currently there is a complete suspension sitting on the basement floor along with a brake upgrade. I need to really get the interior sorted out before I start bumping the boost. Should have seats next week. I'll do the headliner myself but the door panels will go out to someone more skilled in upholstery. Oh, and the open diff needs to be replaced first. With the current diff, traction is nonexistent and the car is terrifying and dangerous to drive in boost. Should be picking up an LSD next week.

You probaly have the nicest lookin' engine bay I've ever seen while on this site, and I've been lurking since '03. You must do some type of mechanic related work for a living right?
