Default Some Help on my D16 Turbo build

Well, I have been toying around, and decided to boost my little D16 instead of going B series. I'm just looking for a fun/save daily.

Goal: 220WHP. Around those lines. With a/c and save daily.
Tune: Local shop with a VERY well known tuner. No cheap ----!
Motor: Completely stock D16y8. Just got rebuilt so almost new bottom end(except piston/rods)

Doing everything name brand. Money is tight, but want to keep it save, and not do "EBay" "JDM" brand.

My personal plans are going with low compression pistons, and just build my kit, or get lucky and find a semi finished kit.

Slapping it on, and trailer the car to the shop. It's going to T1 in Fort Worth for all the local guys.

Now, as far as the low comp pistons go, will either of these work? Should the headgasket be a big deal, or can I use the stock 3 layer gasket? New of course.

Seller 2: http://search.stores.ebay.com/Uyuni-...814202QQsofpZ0

Are those any good for what I'm building?

Never heard of those company's that make the Pistons, but sound some what real.

Thanks guys for helping me. Being this is my first build, and I honestly don't want to mess it up.

You need to head over to turbod16.com before you make any purchases. Most guys run forged rods and suzuki vitara pistons @~100 bucks a set. They are good for 400whp and up. You can order a custom length set of ibeams and vitaras for a good price and that will keep the compression in your y8 to around 8.8 which is still great for driving out of boost and will make nice torque numbers down low.

I have seen those Vitara, but wasn't sure if they were good. I finally registered over there

Not a populated forum, but hopefully some help.
Thanks guys!

Let me ask you guys since the D16 forum is dead....
Is Hondata a good source to tune, or should I run with a Chipped ECU?

That's my main concern....

I would recommend looking at peoples cars on here and on turbod16 and find somebody that has a car with a setup similar to what you want to achieve. Then all you have to do is buy the same parts or similar parts as they did.
