When i get on it and im reving past vtec and im in maybe 55 or 6 grand it smokes.. and it DOES burn oil so rings are on my list or possibly just another motor..? Its a D16z6 and for low miles i dont know if i should even TRY to turbo it currently smokin.. lol Should i just postpone the project till i get the Rings or motor? or just run really low boost.. its a t3 .48/.60 so on a SOHC spooling will be up high like 5500 rpm's.. low boost and drive her easy ? wich is a EXTREMLY hard thing to do when boosted... lol.. WHat should the future hold for this lil motor u guys?

damn how high are you revving? 120k above vtec ...i would honestly postpone the project till you get the rings fixed. it will only get worse once you boost it

boost will be around 3500... does it feel strong? do a compression test n boost the bitch anyway. if ur gonna get a new motor might as well destroy this one.

120K miles on the motor my bad.. im not that hard on it AND IT PULLS HARD STILL. i know D16's are fairly cheap also .. i dunno what to do?

my friend had that problem and a few k miles after that, he started blowin smoke real bad, drinkin oil 1qt/100-150 miles... *waves goodbye to rings*

Well yeah a few months should be not to bad for me.. kinda pushing it.. how hard was he driving his car >? i mean once i have the ---- in.. i can start putting money towards the next motor or at LEAST a set of rings...its just the time consumption of pulling and pulling the pistons...it is a daily driver .. " im such a idiot" trying this with a daily driver lol.....

if you have a jdm ricer valve cover breather do you get smoke out of it? I had the same problem and I had smoke out of my jdm ricer breather, so you know what I did with it? I boosted it, now I get smoke all the time instead of just at high rpms, it may not be fixed but at least it's consistent.
