All dsm's should be parted out, more bov's, injectors, and turbos to go on cars that are somewhat worth a ----. (honda btw)

you should build a catch can of some sort...its nice to have a little bit of vacuum on the crankcase

 

it's actually really good to have a free breathing crankcase, that allows the pistons to reciporcate without the atmosphere putting restrictions on the movement, especially in a boosted engine.

 

Exactly. I've tried most every pcv setup out there. Slash cut, pre-turbo intake, open atmostphere, even a funky combo of pre-turbo and manifold vacuum with one way valves. Honestly the best one on a boosted motor was the vent to atmosphere setup. The slashcut was ok, worked best when you were hard on the throttle. Only problem is a pcv valve isn't 100% open at full throttle, only during part throttle crusing, so the slashcut was pretty much pointless.

 

Why did you make two topic of about the same ----?

 

Right now I have the combination pre turbo and IM setup with one way valves. It seems like it be better than the atmopshere route because its actually creating vaccum for the crankcase...helping vent out the pressure better.


sound right or does it even matter with the atmospheric vent for positive pressure in the crankcase
