SMIC in the A/C location. Good idea or bad?
94 Civic EX T-25/HF Manifold is gonna be the setup
I've heard that you can put your DSM SMIC where the A/C used to go but i'm trying to find out if its a good idea or not? Will the turbo heat the intercooler up too much being so close? It seems like it would cut down on a ton of charge piping being so close to everything.

You can put it there, it is the best place for it to get lots of air. but the end tanks will make it kinda diffifcult so you'd have to get them modified. I just put mine where the stock airbox resonator was. u have to do a little ghetto fabbing the frame(nothing difficult) but it fits just right.i cut out the fake grill on that side and am getting a duct made to vent air into the fins, but it works fine without the duct. Plus I am a sleeper fanatic...

yeah i have pics getting them developed tommorrow with the cd so ill be able to post them in a day or so. I just had to make a small indentionon the lower corner, and bend the tabs on the intercooler itself to line up with 2 holes that are already in the body of the car(for stock resonator). its really self explanitory when u get ready to do it you'll see exactly what needs to be done. also you will have to cut away some of the plastic on the inside of the bumper to get the I/C pipes to clear without making the bumper poke out all funky.

I will take pictures soon as the community-digital-camera comes around to me, but I mounted the old SMIC from my Talon where the condensor was on my 95 DX via a lot of test fitting (bumper off) and having a friend weld the brackets I made on. I also rotated the inlet/outlet to be a lil more .. umm.. EG friendly.
