Small truck intercoller on EK
 

I finaly managed to install this intercoller on my Civic. I wanted to do this first to se if it will fit. I will have to make some cutting on the original bumper or just make a new so it fits perfect.
I have big problems with mainfold. There is like 5 cars in Croatia(right from Italy) with that mainfold.

This is what I plan to run on 10psi.
And here is the price list. Remember that I am 12 time zones away.

gonna ahve to hack the ---- outta your car, its thin, it has plastic end tanks, and it looks like charge piping will be a bitch

OK so if I understand corectly you do not have any tehnical commet about it. You just do not like it because it is so big and my bumper is not instaled.

Beter thin than fat. The front side of the ic is the efective side, if you have 10cm fat ic the first5cm cools the air and the other 5cm is less than 50% cooled

I'm only new here, but:

hotrex, you are on a power trip.

You're constantly giving the beginners ----, even when they are simply asking a question and just trying to learn. And by now I think that you assume everybody is like this, and that you can say whatever you like.

Like Bozo said, You have no technical proof that this intercooler is going to fail, or any proof that it is going to work. You are just judging it by the way it looks, and you have commented on these forums many times that If something works well, it doesnt really matter what it looks like.


And Bozo, good luck with your project. Its good to see innovation when the people with more money just go to the performance store and buy a Shiny, Brand-Name Intercooler that flows 1000+ hp and think they are top ----.

Wow you guys are ------- stupid. Josh is telling you from experience. That thing is a waste of time. Have you fit the bumper back on yet? How do you intend to mount the bumper support? Have you thought any of this through at all? Good luck running the charge pipes. I turboed MY EK. I do know from experience. How can you look at that and think, "Damn, that fits great!"? Get a rope.

seriously man. your better off getting something thats not gonna give you a headache or alot of hacking puting it on. just get something from CCA, JRC, or LSD Motorsports, you'll have a way easier time mounting it up then that thing.. also will be sooooo much better quality and probly flow a hell of a lot better then that thing.

---- if you can spend 150 bucks on 310 injectors(why not dsm 450's :1) the you can afford a cooler from one of the sponsers.

Read my post again. I am from Croatia and all the stores that you are talking about are 11 time zones from me.
This intercooler is ok and piping is not the problem. The bumper does not fit because of my fog lights. If i remowe my fog lights I can mount it. But that is not the point here. The point is that this ic is not good because the smal KKK turbo i use will nead some time to fill the ic with preshure so it is to big for my turbo. If I have T3 or bigger it would be fine. I do not care how it looks but how it performs. I just got a smaler ic from saab that is the size of my radiator, but you guys pisted me off so much I want to use this big ass just to prove to you that it is posible and usable.

you guys are nigs, dave and noel see the light. that intercooler does not fit. where is your bumper support?? you need that. secondly, i have turboed at least 20 cars now, and from PERSONAL experience, i can telly ou thast cooler is a shitty choice.

i am the leading advocate for cheap ---- man, but that thing just doent hack it.

i dont care if you live 90 time zones away, your still not gonna make that thing work.

The point of the distance is that I have limited suply of parts. I am not saying you are wrong but the bumper is the least of my problems. I can make custom bumper. I am not abel to get mainfold because Euro. civics have welded cat. and I will hawe to fabricate it. And that bitch cost like 250-300$
