Small Ball Bearing Turbo?
Anyone know where to find small ball bearing turbos, or what vehicles they came on? :1
I'm interested in a Ihi rhb31, but it is only a journal turbo, and do to my oiling system I need a ball bearing..... Any suggestions? |

I've "heard" that the ball bearing turbos can live longer with less oil pressure than the journal turbos can. This turbo is on an Atv, and I extended a banjo fitting to go to the turbo straight off the motor, I think it's only around 8 or 9 psi of oil? It's a dry sump. With hours of riding, through the Rpm ranges of 2000-10000 do you guys think a journal turbo can live as long as a ball bearing? |
