Slow Spooling
FIrst off I assume my BOV should be oipen at idle. right? due to vacuum? But seeing as it is open during vacuum and doesn't close just before boost could this account for slow spooling of turbo. Boost doesn't hit until 4400rpm on a ZC with a 14b. I'm using a light spring in my BOV, could put the stiffer one in help?

Re:Slow Spooling
i have a 14b on my SOHC VTEC. I have a stage 2 comp cam 59300.
even with my wastegate not lining up properly, i hit 10psi by about 3500 rpm.. |
Re:Slow Spooling
No, that won't help.
Yes, yr BOV is open in vaccum (at idle). But, as soon as you press throttle, there is almost no vacuum in intake manifold (gauge should read near 0), and already at that point BOV is closed. |

Re:Slow Spooling
i like the cam, but i want to get it dynoed to make sure it doesnt have too much overlap and to set my VTEC point.
heres the specs from comp.... advertised duration -------------------------- primary - 232 secondary - 236 VTEC - 260 exhaust - 268 duration @ .050 -------------------- intake primary - 190 @ .050 intake secondary - 194@ .050 VTEC - 220@ .050 exhaust - 216@0 .050 lift --------------------- primary - .300 secondary- .310 VTEC - .455 exhaust - .430 lobe centerline (degrees) ---------------------- primary - 111 secondary - 115 VTEC - 107 exhaust - 111 |
Re:Slow Spooling
I wouldn't want my BOV open at idle, I don't wana get any fucing dirt in it and ----.
