Default slow

OK THIS IS MY SET UP:

STD MANIFOLD
ADAPTER PLATE
IHI RHB5 (PROBE)
PROBE BOV
Y8 HEAD/Y7 BLOCK
V-AFC, DSM 450
2.5 INCH DP

MY QUESTION IS MY CAR FEELS SLOW
I ONLY GET 5 POUNDS BOOST(THOUGHT THESE TURBO'S WERE SET AT 7-8 POUNDS). MY QUESTIONS IS DO U THINK I HAVE A BOOST LEAK, SHOULD I TURN UP THE BOOST UP I WANT TO RUN 10 POUNDS, ALSO DOES THE AFC SETTINGS IN THE FAQ GOOD FOR 10PSI. I WANT ABOUT 170WHP, DO U THINK I CAN DO IT WITH THIS SET UP. , DO U THINK IT COULD BE ANOTHER PROBLEM, ALSO I DID NOT CHANGE MY SPARK PLUGS YET TO COLDER PLUGS I AM GETTING PISSED, I WANT TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR 1 MONTH AT LEAST BEFORE IT IS STORED. HOLLER BACK

did someone forget about the CAPS LOCK?

170 whp is really pushing it on that turbo. its a hella small snail. whats the boost reading on the afc say? the guages are known to only give you a rough idea. just double check all your gaskets and make sure there is no leak on the charge pipes/mainfold/turbo.

check for any holes in ur charge connectors... especially the one off the turbo. those tend to rip all the time if u dont use a silicone one. or u might have mad exhaust leak but still even with it at 5psi that ---- should pull a little bit. does it feel faster then stock?

You should be able to hit 170whp at 10 psi wwith that turbo. You should check for leaks and I've personally never seen a ihi push over 6 psi with stock wg setting.

so 10 psi 170 is obtainable
anyway, the reason i thought the turbo was actuated at 7-8 psi was because it was on the turbo projects page
if i do turn in up to 10 psi should i keep the afc settings from the faq or richen it up even more

I think that you will have to change a few things.

leave the settings in the faq for 10psi that should be enough. if you can take it to a dyno and get it tuned there. the best would be to get a t3 turbo so you'll push more air. then at 10psi you'd have about 215-220hp
